Bit of This, Bit of That.
I got a Wii Fit!
Who knew that working out with a video game would be so enjoyable? I spent a good 90 minutes doing push-ups, stomach crunches and balance exercises and it was actually fun. For the average sedentary person, this thing is a godsend. The only complaint some might have is that you have to achieve goals to unlock more advanced exercises, so this might initially frustrate the more advanced user. I on the other hand, aim to do three consecutive push-ups tomorrow, without succumbing to waves of fatigue and nausea, accompanied by a sudden numbness on the right side of my face. I jest, but this is a welcome addition.
Now that the T1000 is out of the race and Obama is now the presumptive nominee, I've been watching quite a bit of election coverage and I can't get over how exciting it is to watch Obama give a speech. I actually found myself jumping up and clapping at a television screen, over something a politician says. Some may simply dismiss it as pure rhetoric, but you really get a sense of something different coming, when you see him work the crowd. This is the speech he gave after McCain delivered not just a petty and smarmy speech, but one of the most poorly delivered speeches in the history of public speaking, followed by the T1000 delivering her own petty and defiant speech.
If you can appreciate a good speech, then you'll appreciate that. Enjoy your weekend.
